Back in August of 08, I introduced Meditator a little iPhone app project for a simple meditation timer for iPhone and iPod touch. I asked many of you for your help and feedback to make it even better. Today I am pleased to show you a preview of what is to come in Meditator 2.0. It is in the form of a new product I have released called Meditate. Meditate is a start of the next version of Meditator, but has some great benefits you can take advantage of today.

1) the sound engine is now re-designed to allow interruption free meditation
2) Time settings can be set in finer increments, 1 min. vs. 5 mins.
3) If your interrupted or quit out of Meditate you can resume where you left off.
4) If you pause your session, you can resume with Preparation time.
5) Meditate tracks your meditation statistics.

Nice app. I especially like the 22 in the pics. I just posted something interesting on the 11:11 phenomenon, (at http://howtomeditateblog.wordpress.com) you might like it.

  2. I can’t wait! Meditator 1.0 has been my go to meditation timer since I downloaded it… Meditator 2.0 is going to rock!

I hope this app can set to ring on every 5(or any) minute until we turn it off.
When I meditate I use the ring to make awareness of my mind every 5 minute.

If you update it, please let me know.
This is already a great app.

hey, i came across your app from a fellow meditator. i don’t have iphone though…i have verizon’s samsung rogue instead, which takes apps. would meditator work for a non-iphone or ipod? if it does, i’ll be downloading it very soon! kindly let me know.

thank you for the beautiful app, it’s making it easier for a group of us grad students to hold a sangha and feel more grounded.
