Letters

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that a few months ago I downloaded several of your Podcasts to ease my anxiety. Over time, and after receiving medication, the anxiety subsided, but then over the last few weeks surged once again. I have worked with my doctor, my counselor, and had sought the help and support (mostly support and a listening ear) of my friends and family about what is going on.
But I have to say that I think the key to my recent first steps toward recovery consists of these things:
1. Change of diet - for the first time in ages I consume whole, fresh fruit, very relaxing; Also, I have been taking more vitamins, minerals, and a new amino acid to deal with the biochemical aspect of anxiety;
2. Change of behavior - while working with my counselor, and listening to these Podcasts, I have learned more on how to live in the moment and to let go of stressful thoughts; and
3. Listening to your Podcasts - I feel that most of my recovery from anxiety will not be possible without listening to your Podcasts (no pressure!). I find them very relaxing, and in the last three days alone either suffered no anxiety episodes or only experienced some nervousness. I have found a way through your teachings how to balance myself.
I have studied Buddhism in college General Education Curriculum (GEC) classes, as they were called at my school, but have not explored the teachings more than that until recently. Thank you for Podcasting your lessons, they have been a life-saver to me - and that is just over the last few days! I look foward to more, and continue to listen to your previous recordings almost constantly now.
Thank you.
